About
The Coller Animal Law Forum (CALF) has been designed for policymakers, parliamentarians, researchers, and advocates working to bring about a more sustainable global food system. Our flagship tool is an interactive, international database that collates and analyses various laws and policies that impact farmed animals. Supporting the database, we have topical factsheets with key considerations when drafting laws and policies, and a review of practices that show leadership or should be improved.
Inspiration for this Project
CALF was incepted out of the 2021 Rethinking Protein Conference. The conference gathered a wide range of experts to accelerate global law and policy towards a more humane, sustainable food system. Following the conference, it was important to the Coller Foundation to provide policymakers, researchers and advocates with the knowledge and tools to create the reforms put forward during the conference.
Meet the Team
Celine Montloin
Project Manager
Celine joined the Jeremy Coller Foundation as CALF Project Manager in November 2023. Before this she worked as a Trade Development Adviser at the French Trade Commission in London and Sydney.
She spends her free time experimenting with plant-based meals in the kitchen, practising and teaching yoga !
Alice Di Concetto
Research Consultant
Alice Di Concetto is the founder of The European Institute for Animal Law & Policy, a think tank specialising in EU animal law and policies. She additionally is a lecturer in European animal law at the Sorbonne Law School and Sciences Po Law School (Paris, France).
Alice lives in Brussels with her husband and three cats, and spends her free time gardening and making collages off vintage books and magazines.
